Reuters: Will Sarah Palin get a TV show? (I sort of suggested this earlier in the week)
Earlier this week, I suggested Fox News give Palin and Eliz. Hasselbeck their own show to get them out of our way (get Palin out of politics, and get Elizabeth off any channel I might actually watch).

Then I saw this Reuters story ... some folks ARE thinking about putting Sarah on TV! I will NEVER watch or listen to that screeching voice once this election is over, however.

Is Sarah Palin the Next Oprah Winfrey?

Reuters

LOS ANGELES (Oct. 24) -- As campaign managers for Sarah Palin plot last-minute tactics to get her elected, Hollywood bigwigs are convening strategy sessions of their own. Their goal: finding the ideal on-air vehicle for the vp candidate if and when she exits politics.

Love her or hate her -- there doesn't seem to be much middle ground with Palin -- the 44-year-old hockey mom has captured the public imagination in a way no politician has since, well, Barack Obama. But as more and more polls cast doubt on the McCain-Palin ticket, producers and agents across the entertainment world are discussing possibilities for capitalizing on her fame, ranging from an Oprah-style syndicated talk show to a Sean Hannity-like perch in cable news or on radio.

"Any television person who sees the numbers when she appears on anything would say Sarah Palin would be great," said veteran morning-show producer Steve Friedman, citing the double-digit ratings gains her appearances on "Saturday Night Live" and "CBS Evening News" generated. "The passion she has on each side, love and hate, makes television people say, 'Wow, imagine the viewership."' Although none of the execs has -- at least as far as anyone is admitting -- made direct overtures to Palin, they are readying their battle plans if she decides to give up her day job.

3. I want her on with Hasselbeck. Eliz. did a fashion show before the View ...
... seems like a match made in heaven. They can talk about clothes, and conservative stuff, and clothes.

9. .....and killing moose and shooting wolves from airplanes
It would make a very interesting mix. Sarah could continue to use her children as props and soon she'll have a grandchild that will make an excellent showpiece.

She may have to go on TV if she is to continue to clothe her children (and herself of course) in the style to which they've become accustomed.

It would be great fun. I wouldn't watch it of course, but it will keep the wingnuts off the streets.

5. Will she resign as Gov. & sign on for a TV show?
It is quite possible because her days as Gov. may be short. Alaskans are probably going to recall her after this Election. She may get the jump on that by resigning. A TV show would garner at least $4 Mill per year. She is publicity & money hungry so it would be logical that she would go for that.

10. I've got a feeling Alaska will be more than happy
to get rid of her. She has made Alaskan look bad. She might tell them, "I know you want to recall me, so I'll save you the time and expense and just resign." Then off she'll go to her new career in Show Biz!

4. I hope she gets a TV show....
and is very successful and earns millions so that the Palin family can live in hog heaven. I don't care...just so long as she doesn't rear her head into any government position ever again.

12. Yeah or Gene Simmons
That would really be fun. Maybe we'd get to see her actually TALK to her children who up till now have just been background scenery. She doesn't even LOOK at them. Really bizarre.

18. I figured she and Bachmann would have their own talking head show
something like "Bachmann-Palin Overblown", except the Divine Miss Sarah would never agree to have her name second.
