What will Ashley Todd's future be once she gets out of prison?
My guess is she will play Mayella Ewell in the next remake of "To Kill a Mockingbird"

5. I was thinking along the same lines -- however, so far it's just a misdemeanor
No jail time, except maybe while being held for arraignment.

7. The girl's a pariah.
The left will hate her for race baiting, the right will despise her for giving them another horrible couple of days in the press and making them look like fools. If I was her, I'd request solitary confinement.

9. She'll be hired as another one of Karl Rove's acolytes.

Don't think her career of stirring up crap from the school of Rove and Atwater is over. She just proved her street cred with this farce.

14. There's an opening for her at the Michigan Federation of College Republicans...
...but later she'll probably get fired for committing another crime.

There's a history of this sort of thing leading to a promising future in republican circles...

Here's the parallel story:

http://www.michigandaily.com/content/alleged-political-hate-crime-not-what-it-seemed

Despite a national whirlwind of speculation, political finger-pointing and a nasty black eye, police said rumors surrounding the assault of an Oakland University student who woke up beaten and bruised in Ann Arbor on the night of Sept. 23 are false.

That wasn't enough to get him fired until he stole stuff while working for McCain later:

http://media.www.michiganreview.com/media/storage/paper1232/news/2008/09/30/News/Justin.Zatkoff.Fired.Steals.Campaign.Literature-3476715.shtml

Justin Zatkoff, chair of the Michigan Federation of College Republicans, has been fired from his position within the Republican National Committee's "Victory '08" Campaign as of October 3rd. Zatkoff was fired after John McCain pulled his campaign out of Michigan, and then attempted to steal 300,000 pieces of campaign literature from Michigan campaign headquarters.
