Florida voter turnout is crazy heavy...
I showed up and voted there on Monday morning at 9am, today I was driving back from work after six and saw the workers closing up the place so I stopped to ask them how it was going.

Nice lady said they'd had over 1000 a day. For perspective, Bonita is a suburban city of Ft. Myers, population is 42,000. Of the 42,000, approximate 75% of that are adults of voting age. Many of them also maintain summer homes up north and don't vote in Florida.

I asked her how many registered voters they have for that precinct. She said 23,000.

So, over 1000 a day equals at least 4000 voters in four days rounded down. That is almost a 20% voter turnout in the first four days of early voting and we haven't even had a Saturday yet (started monday).

5. I early voted in
Polk County today...stood in line about 20 minutes. I asked one of the poll workers if had been this busy (long line out the door)and he replied "it's been like this since voting started this week" a moment later he commented that "this is definitely a record turnout election".
