Have you convinced anyone to vote for Obama?

I got 2 friends who are apathetic when it comes to politics to vote for Obama. One of them by informing him of McCain's racism towards Asians ("I hate the gooks...") and the other by pointing out McCain's anti-videogame stance due to his association with Lieberman. The last one may not be that important in the big picture but hey, whatever works.

3. In 2004 I convinced some of my closer friends to vote for Kerry.

These were people who were greatly unabsorbed with the political process but brought up in conservative families. They are now very stoked about Obama and will likely be voting Demcorat a long time.

But to answer your question: No. I haven't. I haven't really felt the need to since most of the people I talk to(who aren't crazy) are backing Obama.

We had an hour long conversation. It was nice. He might even vote for Obama....

12. An undecided guy in my band

We had a talk after he found out I was a political junkie. He is extremely concerned about our standing in the world after Chimp's presidency and after watching the first debate decided to vote for Barack. Said he seemed "calm" and "thoughtful". :)

15. I've had lengthy conversations..

with people, some complete strangers I pass in my daily life. I don't ask who they are voting for, but the subject of politics always comes up..because I am obsessed with connecting present day conditions with government policies, and no matter where I am, the topics are there. I've been on an information mission for years now. I like to print newsletters filled with information not seen on tv, and drop them off in shopping carts, at the library, with the magazines at the Doctor's office, etc., I did this with my local Dem Headquarters where I made collages of info and pictures to hang on the wall. I don't know how many I've convinced, but I like to think that while they may or may not vote for Obama, they can not in good conscience vote for McCain.

18. I planted the seeds in a friend of mine and she gave him a chance...

Before she wouldn't even consider it because she thought Obama was unpatriotic and all that. I was careful in how I talked about him and didn't push it. We're good friends and our kids are together a lot. Our husbands are out on the road a lot, too. I didn't want to piss her off.

One night she couldn't find anything to watch on TV and turned it onto the second debate. Obama impressed the hell out of her and she thought McCain did a lousy job. She's a lifelong repub, BTW.

Needless to say she changed her mind and I jumped for joy. I offered her an Obama bumper sticker and she countered with a 'What Would Jesus Do?' one. :rofl:

19. I got two co-workers to register to vote and both are 4 Obama and no on 8 n/t

one client, one friend, and one relative. The client was leaning McCain, the other 2 were undecided. Now they're all enthusiastic Obama supporters.
