Here's mine:

11/5/08: 10200

1/20/09: 10545


For good measure..... on the morning of 11/4/08, it will be at 9100. There will be a 1100 "Obama bounce" as world markets go euphoric overnight after the election. The next day, the Dow follows with a record jump.


The irony of the 1/20/09 prediction? That's the EXACT number it was at the day Bush took office. He'd be a zero-Dow-growth President.

1. Damn scheming you are optimistic,,,

a new president will NOT make any difference in my opinion. The new president will need to make some jobs creation legislation to pull us out of the recession we are into and will be into for quite awhile I'm afraid. I don't like what Roubini has to say, but he has been pedicting the last 2 years AND he was right in more ways than one unfortunatly. And the picture he is painting now is very, very, very ugly.

2. Too optimistic

Retail sales will be awful in December and the stock market will reflect that until into the new year. It may start rebounding on the sheer hope of a new Obama administration but I don't look for much until at least the second quarter of 09.
