Current RealClearPolitics average: GREATEST. LEAD. EVER.
7.6% lead over McCain. Highest previous lead was 7.4%, on 6-24-08. Obama's average number of 50.6% is also the highest ever.

Can we now stop saying "the lead is tightening"?

1. "the lead is frightening" is what I think they meant to say...
... because if he has this big a lead, then people will not tune into CNN to watch the pundits breathlessly go over the same minutia nothingness that passes for news, and they will not be able to get top dollar for their advertising, and that makes their corporate owners sad!
