Obama thanks Powell for endorsement
Obama thanks Powell for endorsement
Posted: Sunday, October 19, 2008 11:24 AM by Mark Murray
Filed Under: 2008, McCain, Obama

From NBC/NJ's Athena Jones
Per Obama senior adviser Robert Gibbs, Obama called Colin Powell this morning, thanked him for his endorsement, and said how honored he was to have it.

Obama "said he looked forward to taking advantage of his advice in the next two weeks and hopefully over the next four years," Gibbs said in an email to the traveling press. "They talked for ten minutes."

2. One thing Obama has is the smarts
There's a long line of great advisors Obama will listen to before, Repug, Powell.

4. He was smart enough, but not courageous enough
Obama certainly can and should listen to his advice. Then it's up to Obama to take from it what he will.

5. Well said
That's pretty much how I feel about him. I always felt he was going against his better judgment, wish he would have stuck to his guns on that one.

3. You mean Obama did not reject and repudiate the endorsement,
calling it worthless and who would want an endorsement from such a despicable and lying human being who helped to direct us into a war? I am shocked, simply shocked!
