Someone remind me: why don't we boycott fox advertisers??
Is this too obvious? This would seem to be easy. And add in Rush advertisers too, for a kicker.

1. Someone who can stomach watching fox/listening to rush, get us a list of their major advertisors (is this listed anywhere?).

2. Then we put the list out on the web and have all the bloggers link to it.

3. Then all of us (what are we, millions?) stop buying their junk.

What's wrong with my plan?

2. many of their advertisers are those who sell things like Reagan coins,
world trade center type products such as plaques . and other such items that most of us would never buy.

4. It isn't the advertisers fault...
Other than the drug companies and the gas companies, I can't think of any other advertisers who pull the strings on TV.

5. Very few watch it to know who their sponsors are!
I know I sure don't! I sure would boycot them if I knew who, but then, for the little bit I buy, it probably wouldn't matter much.

9. The advertisers are only there because the viewers/listeners are there.
It isn't about ideology for the advertisers, usually.

There are advertisers who buy time on both Rush and Air America, aren't there?

Boycotts only work when the object of the boycott has a clear alternative. If you're telling Acme Soap company not to advertise where the ears and eyeballs are, you leave them with no palatable alternative. Without an alternative, the boycott will not be effective.

...you'd have to stop buyin' everything mass produced...you'd have to grow your own food/cotton...to eat and sheer the animals and learn to weave to make your own clothes....and on and on and on...face it no matter who's advertising where...they have us RIGHT where they want us...dependent on THEM for everything....especially with the idiot box as their weapon o'mass destruction.
