14. I am with you ...
look, it is going to help BO, and that is the bottom line, but NO WAY Powell didn't know who he liked until just now. What he did today was like someone playing roulette waiting until the ball landed, THEN trying to push his chips in.

He covered his butt making sure McCain was not going to win.

Same POLITICAL cowardace he displayed in the IWR.

17. Obama does not need his help. And folks on the fence at this point...
are idiots who would probably think he's just endorsing Obama because he's black.

Obama is going to win. He's given in too much already - FISA, DC guns ban, public financing, Cuba embargo....don't give into the guy who was instrumental in letting Gitmo, Abu Grahib and Iraq happen.

7. Powell giving an amazing speech full of superlatives for Obama, slamming Repubs
I am surprised how strong and complete is his endorsement. Every American should hear his every word

9. He has turned over a whole ammo dump to Democrats and Obama.
The transcript will be a great read about all that's wrong with repugs.

15. Powell has had a major epiphany, completely turned against the right wing
He has seen the light of how dangerous the extremist right wing would be for this country.

10. He slammed the Ayers/Muslim smears, talked about Muslim Iraq Vets
He says Obama was steadier over the financial crisis issues, has the temperament and intellectual rigor, plus necessary ability to lead America and reach out to the world. He slams the Repub party move to the right, says it would not be good to have two more conservative judges, slams the Muslim-Terrorism smears with a story about a slain Iraq soldier who was an American Muslim. Says Palin is not qualified to be PResident

8. He is going into detail as to why McCain is not qualifed while Obama has the qualifications.
He talked about Palin not being qualified to step in to be President after watching her for 7 weeks.
He talked about Obama is ready to step in as President.

He is troubled about senior members of his party using Muslim as an issue.

He is disappointed in McCain using robocalls inferring that Obama is connected to terrorism.

11. That was a thing of beauty
Five uninterrupted minutes about how the Republican party is turning too much to the right, Palin is unqualified which calls McCain's judgment in to question, the divisive tactics of the campaign, Obama's response to the economic crisis, his intellectual "vigor" and more.:wow:

Brokaw is about to have a stroke.

20. I'm at Arlington regularly. She's not the only one camped out at their kin's grave.
And the folks at Arlington are nice to ignore the 'no pets' rule and let them bring pets.
