Kerry's got to start making some noise! Fuck nuance.
The media isn't giving him much attention cause he pussyfoots around issues (hence doesn't give good soundbites that cut to the root of the problem), Congress is owned by the freepers (hence is incapable of doing anything news or noteworthy; like bringing charges) and dems in general are predictably just laying around bemoaning the current state of affairs, thus enhancing their public personna as whiners. The media is just reporting what's interesting and the only people saying anything interesting are the freepers making outrageous claims and lies (which are newsworthy in their content and brazeness).

If Kerry keeps coming to the party in his tux, the media and the public will bury him in it and we'll get dragged along for the ride. I believe it's his to win or lose, but this fucking polite nuanced way to addressing issues is going to get us all wasted.

2. Damn Right, time for noise! How come Bush canceled one debate?
Where was Bush on the morning of 9/11 and how come there is so much contradictory statements from him that morning that reporters are not allowed to ask?

How come Cheney won't open up Halliburton and the Energy task for records?

How come Scalia has not been investigated by Congress?

How come Halliburton hasn't lost the contract after is ripped off the United States?

How come Bush's AWOL records have been sealed?

How come Bush's DUI's have been sealed?

How come Laura Bush's DUI killing of her boyfriend been sealed?

How come people are mad at John Kerry when it's Bush who is pussyfooting around the issues?

3. its not what Kerry must do it is what we CAN do
Create an issue that brings the media to us using viral and guerilla marketing techniques.

please help me get the word out:

most people have not read the 8/6/2001 PDB. I created a postcard size version.

Please print and distribute the image above. High res version for printing available below. Put them on car winshields. Hand them out on street corners. drop them in driveways in the suburbs.

We don't need TV buys to get some attention on this issue. We have to undermine Bush's perceived strength. We all are potential disseminators of printed media. We do not need a newspapers permission or lots of money for TV commercials. We need viral grass roots marketing. We need to create a buzz. If we create a buzz with massive distribution of printed ads we will get media coverage. If these start miraculously appearing and no one knows where they are coming from it will start to get media attention. We must also go after and mock Rice, Cheney and Ashcroft. It is the whole package.

Bush admin. INCOMPETENCE is key to undermining his strength.

4. I agree with dumping nuance.
Kerry already has the nuance vote and I do think he needs to make a more forceful challenge to the claim that Bush keeps us safe. Attack things like his lack of support for homeland security and sending our defenders overseas. Start using very simple examples--like asking whether you'd feel safer in your home if your bodyguard went out looking for bad guys instead of staying home to guard your home.

6. KERRY NEEDS TO TELL THE (NASTY) TRUTH
1. GO AS NEGATIVE AS POSSIBLE, UTILIZING 527s, AND STAY THERE. Everyone knows voters say they don’t like negative ads, but they work like Hell so use them as much as possible.

2. BUSH ADS WITH A "DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS" THEME...”MY PET GOAT”...dozens of possibilities.

BUSH IS “UNFIT FOR OFFICE” USE ANY OF 157 SUPPORTING POINTS.

HOW ABOUT ADS SHOWING THE RNC MORONS MOCKING THE PURPLE HEART?

REMIND YOUNG FOLKS THAT THE DRAFT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME...

HOW ABOUT ADS SHOWING CLELAND AT THE RANCH WAITING FOR BUSH TO DO THE RIGHT THING?

HELL, USE THE “BUSHISMS” TOO. PEOPLE HAVE TO BE SHOWN THAT THE MAN HAS A COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTION AND IS “UNFIT FOR OFFICE.”

ZIG ZAG ZELL (Laura Bush “I Don’t Think That He Is One of Us.”)

3. KERRY WHEN SPEAKING MUST ALWAYS INTEGRATE ISSUES OF HOMELAND SECURITY, TERROR, AND IRAQ AS CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE. CAN'T USE IRAQ AS A WEDGE BECAUSE OF HIS "ME TOO" POSITIONS. IF HE CHANGES, MORE FLIP FLOP CHARGES.

BUT WE COULD LIGHT A BOMB UNDER BUSH BY EXPOSING HIS FAILURES ON THE OTHER TWO ISSUES. ALWAYS COMBINE THE 3 ISSUES AS CLOSELY AS POSSIBLE AS THEY ARE INSEPARABLE IN MANY RESPECTS. KERRY HAS TO TOPPLE THE VOTER OPINION THAT BUSH IS STRONGER ON TERRORISM AND SHOW THAT HE IS REALLY STUPID, OTHERWISE WE LOSE.

FORGET MOST ADS ABOUT THE ECONOMY
