Is this going to screw up my vote?
I just checked and apparently I'm still registered in North Carolina a year or so after I moved down here to South Carolina. I'm concerned that my vote might be purged down here in SC since I'm registered in 2 states. How do I remove myself from the NC rolls if necessary?

1. your vote doesn't get purged. you simply vote where you are now.
you aren't required to notify the jurisdiction you left that you've reregistered elsewhere.

2. when you move you do not have to unregister to vote as far as i know, you're
on the rolls of your new state so you shouldn't have any problem.

I moved from Massachusetts to Texas to California and gave never had a problem voting.

3. NC should purge you eventually.. I don't think you have to do anything.
Now, if you try and vote in 2 places, you will be subject to facing a felony.. Most people are honest. Most people vote in the place they live and take pride in that... There are only a few people out their (mostly republicans) that like to cheat.

4. You are not required to remove yourself from voter rolls in a previous state
You are required to register in your new state.

North Carolina will eventually remove you from their rolls, but that's North carolina's business. It has no effect on your new registration in South Carolina.

7. I moved a few years ago..
before the 2006 election. When I've checked my registration on-line it has come up with my old address. I don't know why that is but when I went to the town hall to check my registration it was fine.
