John McCain calls JFK’s assassination an “intervention”

Youtube
Friday, Oct 17, 2008

From the final presidential debate of the campaign. Terrifying during the debate was the moment when John McCain was comparing himself and Obama to Goldwater and Jack Kennedy when he described JFK’s assassination as something like this: “the intervention…” (eyes open wide, eyebrows high, grabs nose) “…err tragedy in Dallas…”

3. I think he let something slip.
"Intervention"--like our "intervention" in Chile a decade later?

5. I don't think there is anything to this.
Not even McCain is old enough to have been involved in the Kennedy assassination!

10. He was 27 in 1963, three years older than Oswald
And no, I don't believe for a nanosecond he had anything to do with it. That was military/gov't bureaucracy speak, his default language. Never use the harsh word when a fuzzy one will do, ie collateral damage for the murder of bystanders.

6. I guess you could call it an intervention in that JFK had this addiction
to being the legally elected chief executive of the republic. So a few of his "friends" for his "own good" decided to confront him and put an end to it. I guess i mean every time this man opens his trap the foot just flies in to it.

7. That Freudian slip seemed more about Obama than JFK

It seems McCain is hopping Obama gets knocked off and that in his mind would be an "intervention".
