How about his wife's vicodin addiction, the stealing of pills from a charity. The action that he covered up as a member of the House. McCain COVERED THIS UP, HE KEPT CINDY OUT OF PRISON BY ABUSING HIS POWER AS A CONGRESSMAN. Maybe this is what needs to be whispered, along with Liddy, of course. He looked like he was going to cry when Letterman brought it up (Liddy).

1. Is he trying to bring this up now?
I hadn't heard anything about this. Seems like a silly move, but then again, I can't see Obama & Co. hitting back on Cindy.

2. Yes, there was a post here on DU about it. As far as Cindy goes, it is all about John's ABUSE OF
POWER, protecting her from prosecution. Without his standing in the House, she would have been doing hard time. Just another chink in his "Mavericky" armor.

3. The NYT did this story on Obama a long time ago. There was little to nothing there.
This is just Cindy and her minions throwing a little fit.

4. He looked like he would cry but he was actually close to having his head explode.
Did you hear the prolonged high-pitched wail that prompted Letterman to cut to commercial?

Liddy is McPain's achille's heel and we should exploit the hell out of it if it becomes necessary.

5. I hadn't heard that, but if he does, he's skating on thin ice.
WaPo did a story about a month ago on the former employee of Cindy's charity coming forward with new information. Something I noticed in the article - it wasn't said outright but in the facts that were laid out in detail, there's no record of any supervision by any authorities in Cindy's supposed rehab. From reading the article carefully, I don't think she ever did any. Certainly not any that was documented or recorded anywhere (except in Cindy's own news statements). The writer showed that without stating it.

7. None of this crap is going to remove Obama's 100 point electoral vote lead.
It's all irrelevant.

8. I hope so, but if the need arises, we have obvious ammunition
We've been so gentle with this guy, as a party, but it IS winning over Indies, so I'm not complaining at all. However, this should be put in play, if need be.

9. He'll just spin it into unfair attacks on his wife.
Then the attacks will begin on Michelle Obama and her not being proud enough of her country, and how much she hates white people. You know--so much that she married a guy who's half white, when I'm sure she had her pick of men who were 100% black.

10. My niece and her husband from Atlanta are visiting.
They told me they overheard old women in a restaurant there saying Obama is "a drug addict." So this crap is being circulated.

11. Funny how it didn't matter that BUSH* was/is a drug addict
The double-standards of this crowd astound me and they have the nerve to call us unAmerican!
