Anyone here have any clout with the Kerry campaign?

Their are a ton of good ideas here. Will any of them be put to use in the campaign? Take a look at the talking points about why Bush is weak and Bush and Groupthink. This place is a goldmine of creative thought. Someone put it to use please!!!

Bush is trying to create an image of a guy who is strong, focused, unwavering guided by moral clarity. We have to expose him as weak, a puppet, stupid, caught up in groupthink, a draft dodger, thinks he is morally superior to anyone who does not think like he does, shallow, unsophisticated, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, out of touch with the average American and the poor, insensitive and finally, irrational because he will not change direction no matter how bad things are going.

Republicans use simple frazes and words. We need to start doing the same thing. Find about ten or 15 terms that we want to use to define Bush and say them over and over and over and over. It's a simple formula we just need to be smart enought to realize that the average American thinks in simple terms and cant take too much depth. They have too much on their mind.

Lets take Kerry. What do you think the average American thinks when they think of Kerry. They think, flip floper, liberal, weak on defense, has no record in the senate to run on and he will raise your taxes. Why? Because the Bush people say these things over and over and over. The Republicans are winning the definition war. We have to play the same game only better.

1. Elizabeth Edwards is a DU reader
Kerry's stepson Chris is a du member and has posted on here. petenyc is close to kerry but i don't think he is a top level strategist.

but elizabeth edwards is the one who has the say and if she felt something was a good idea she would use it.

and john edwards had been defending Kerry for months on his military service and he went after bush on not showing up for his service.

5. If the campaign doesn't consider ideas that they find
here and elsewhere, then they're wasting a very valuable resource.

Joe Trippi actually solicited ideas on the Smirking Chimp- under his own name, so it's not like it isn't done. But a lot depends on the nature of the organization- whether they are willing to listen.

6. Republicans understand psychology and marketing
all fascists do.
I thought Kerry was a DLCer, which Al From defined as a "rabid pragmatist," who has turned out to be a stagnant status-quoist living in the 1990's.
