Diebold Vote Company Whistleblower and GOP Cyber Security Expert Both State That.....
Chambliss Senate Race Was Rigged

http://newsblaze.com/story/2008101605031400005.pnw/topstory.html

WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In an exclusive interview, a former Diebold vote machine contractor who was in charge of preparing the 2002 election between Saxby Chambliss and Max Cleland has stated that the software patches placed on the voting machines in the weeks prior to the election could have rigged the election in favor of Republican Chambliss. The contractor, Chris Hood, was ordered by the President of Diebold, Bob Urosevich, to install uncertified patches on machines in predominantly Democratic counties supposedly to fix a clock function which it did not do, according to Mr. Hood. Saxby Chambliss won a surprising victory after trailing badly in the pre-election polls.

The interview with Mr. Hood, posted by Velvet Revolution ("VR"), a DC based non-profit dedicated to a clean and accountable government, can be seen on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKnIghBsU58. Rebecca Abrahams, a former ABC News producer who conducted the interview, states, "The candidates running in the upcomingGeorgia election should be concerned about the veracity and validity of the November election results after anomalies in the last election and the statement by Chris Hood. In fact, Jim Martin, who is challenging Chambliss' re-election, should ask Chambliss if he has any knowledge that the 2002 election was rigged and whether he knew thatGeorgia citizens voted on electronic voting machines that had been patched with uncertified software days before the election. Since such conduct violatedGeorgia law, the 2002 election was clearly tainted."

Stephen Spoonamore, a cyber security expert and lifelong Republican, has also stated that he believes that the 2002Georgia Senate race was rigged in favor of Chambliss. "If you look at the case of Saxby Chambliss, that's ridiculous. The man was not elected. He lost that election by five points. Max Cleland won. They flipped the votes, clear as day," Spoon said in another exclusive interview posted on YouTube by VR at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzKbigGoMoo.

VR has been working with whistleblowers who have stated that the GOP, under the direction of Karl Rove, has been using computers to change election results. In order to protect the 2008 election from such manipulations, a federal lawsuit is being pursued inOhio to take depositions from those who have been implicated in this illegal strategy. Complete coverage of this suit is a www.rovecybergate.com.

1. This is very important - even for the Presidential race
We need to be vigilant throughout. This is major information that needs to see some major daylight.

2. Since it doesn't involve ACORN
and doesn't make Democrats look bad, I woulnd't expect to see much, or any, mention of it in the media.

3. That's the dirty, criminal thing about this whole mess
That's why the GOP is bringing up ACORN and making it into some kind of crazy conspiracy theory when there is nothing to it at all. They are going to use it as cover to pull off whatever plans they might have for the election.

4. My question is, why isn't Howard Dean all over this?
I mean, is this is all true, you'd think the Dems would be in court as we speak. If this sort of thing is going on for this election, one would think the Dems would be pre-empting any similar funny business. Never mind the media, what about the actual aggrieved party?

16. the dems would rather lose than attack the system.
they are part of the problem.

we had a thread a while back and no one came up with a better reason than that.

if anyone has got a better reason, i'd love to hear it.

7. This would be undemocratic in any place, but that they did this to Cleland is particullarly evil
I never knew all that much about him before 2004, but he is an amazing person to have done all he did given not just what he went through in Vietnam, but that he had to endure the smears in 2002 plus the fact that he likely knew this was stolen back then. That he still had the patriotism to have worked as hard as he did for John Kerry, who he clearly had a special relationship with is amazing.

The other thing I read about him today is that he will be in MA with Kerry speaking to people in Boston, who will be going up to NH to campaign and then to two veterans events in Massachusetts. I hope that Obama considers putting him in charge of the veteran's administration - I think he had this role in the Carter administration.

8. This was obvious to many of us at the time
GA was the first state to use 100% Diebold machines and was the 'field test' for 2004. There were some suspicious results in other states as well.

Remember that year the media announced at the last minute that there would be NO EXIT POLLS for some bullshit reason.

13. Probably didn't feel safe enough, needed the security of a tipping point.
This is good, it means there will be more whistleblowers, once they feel secure in numbers. There have got to be plenty more people who know about this that have kept mum. The more who blow the whistle now, the more who will blow the whistle soon.

And even though this guy is late, he's still braver than most of them.
