Scarborough is a huge asshole...
no surprise there. Spinning the everloving crap out of the debate. "Obama offers the most left wing economic policy since McGovern."

2. Who cares?
We've seen where the "most right wing economic policy" has gotten us. One of the worst financial disasters in our country's history.

Fuck em.

6. I had it on for two minutes and turned it off
I really haven't been watching any of the political shows for a couple months now, and seeing Joey SCAB'S ugly mug reminded me why I leave the boob tube in the off position these days.

Morning Joe is awful. I wouldn't mind Joe having time on TV if they had a strong liberal with him. Something like "Morning Joe and Paul" (Begala) could actually be a good show.

11. Paul Begala would destroy him.
It wouldn't be a show called "Morning Joe" anymore. Begala's frequent ownage of Joe would force them to rename it to "Schooling Joe".

:D

12. That's not such a terrible thing...
McGovern was no leftist, but he would have been a much better exemplification of progressive values than Mujahideen Jimmy or Bill the Neo-Liberal.

13. He laments that Republicans haven't embraced "pure capitalism" the last 8 years
He's a total wingnut. It's only a matter of time before he calls Obama a socialist.

14. When have Republicans ever embraced pure capitalism?
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 05:59 AM by bulloney
Look at the deficit spending we've seen under Republican administrations since Reagan, the darling of the conservatives. They don't believe in less government any more than the liberals. They just have a different client base--the affluent and big corporations.

I worked for a farm legislative organization during the later Reagan years. Farmers complained at how they had become more dependent on government payments for their income and how much more bureaucratic signing up for farm programs had become. I think that was a microcosm of how the entire Reagan Administration was run.
