Edited on Wed Oct-15-08 10:43 PM by opiate69
higher taxes notwithstanding? I mean, let's assume he makes around $30/hour working for the company. So, that's around, what? $60k /year give or take.. so, he'd pass up the oppurtunity to own the company and, even with higher taxes, bring home 2 or 3 times that? Makes no sense.. that's like saying that I wouldn't give up my $15/hour job for a $90k/year job because it'll mean that I'll no longer be able to get a tax return every year.

1. It's like the classic dumbass comment about lottery winnings
Someone wins 100 million and some jackass invariably says "Yeah but after taxes that's only $60 million!"

3. ABsolutely.
It's kind of a no-brainer for Joe. But then, perhaps that's the problem . . .

9. Honestly, the best response would have been, "Joe, I'd recommend you hold off"
"On any large investments until I'm President."
