CNN now setting us up for a "challenge" of the election due to ACORN "fraud"

So I was watching Lou Dobbs tonight (yes, I know) and he had on these 2 or 3 particularly odious Rethugs, and all they could talk about was how Obama, through Acorn, is planning to 'steal' the election and how this cannot go 'unchallenged'. One even complained rather loudly about all media - even CNN - being 'in the tank' for Obama!

I figure they can only get away with this in a very close election. Please, oh please let Obama win in a landslide so we don't have to be subjected to any of this crap!

18. I attended Ohio poll worker training tonight.

The trainer explained how every new registration is scrutinized by the Board of Elections, even those submitted by ACORN, before a person gets to vote.

Why can't this be explained to the general public?

And the GOP assistant executive director, Matt Damschroeder, of the Franklin County BOE said ACORN was not responsible for the few mess ups in registration. In fact, he said they didn't anticipate much in the way of problems o Nov 4th.

He said all this on the Diane Rehms show this morning...

All states require proof of citizenship i.e. last 4 digits of your SSN or a driver's license.

There is a check at the registration offices of these numbers. The chances of any of these voter registrations ending up in the voter rolls is less than .01%

I was beside myself with rage. I have been avoiding the news lately because it is just too terrifying and gets me too depressed, but I watched this with incredulity. The sheer irresponsibility of the commentators and the utterly unfounded hatred and lies that they were espousing shocked me, and I thought that I was past being shocked. Only three more weeks, but my God they are going to be painful ones.

Alleged voter registration fraud is not the same as voter fraud. It is - to say the least - highly unlikely that someone named Mickey Mouse will show up at the polls and try to vote. Remind CNN they will be held responsible for their skewed reporting when this election is over. If they can't be trusted to deliver unbiased news - they don't deserve to have an audience. Tell them that - I did.
