*** MSM Telegraphs McCain move with "Bradley Effect" ***
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/13/obama.bradley.effect/index.html

Essentially they've told us how many points ahead Obama must be in each state to avoid having them use their nefarious "Bradley Effect" nonsense to explain away his loss: More than 6 points.

Here are states in which Obama's ahead by 8 points or less (which could be brought down to 6 points by Election Day) per pollster.com:

WA, NV, CO, NM, MN, WI, OH, VA, NC, FL, ME, NH, NJ.

Most likely to be at risk:

NV, CO, NM, MN, WI, OH, VA, NC, FL, NH

2. The Bradley Effect goes back to 1982; same year McCain started in Congress
Both are very old.

3. Problem is, if there's not a dsicernible geographical correlation, it can't work
In other words, If there is a "Bradley Effect" in Virginia but no correlating "Bradley Effect" in Pennsylvania, Delaware, or any other states surrounding Virginia, it does not logiclaly follow as an explanation and raises red flags.

What you suggest, then, means there must be an across the board measurable "Bradley Effect".

I don't think they can pull that off.

5. The Bradly issue was in 1982. I was 5 at the time..
Now at age 31.. i'm going on a limb here - but I think "racial relations" are a bit better. Perfect? NO.. but certainly better. If they weren't we wouldn't even have a black candidate... let alone one who is curently leading.

The "bradly" effect is going to be HUGE in states like TX, AL, UT, etc... the states McCain already IS winning. People are racist in certain areas of this country.. and those are already red. In the blue area's.. and the leaning blue areas - it's not the number one issue.

6. It's the Diebold Effect and the Coffman Effect That They Are Covering For
Coffman is this year's Blackwell, or one of them anyway.

7. I think the media will be talking about the "OBAMA EFFECT" in the years to come
Most everyone knows "The Bradley effect" is named after former Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, an African-American who ran for California governor in 1982. Exit polls showed Bradley was leading by a wide margin, yet ended up losing to Republican George Deukmejian. The theory was that polling was wrong because some voters, who did not want to appear bigoted, said they voted for Bradley even though they did not.

I'm willing to bet that Obama has the exact REVERSE effect on people this election year.

I think many Americans, conservative and other, aren't yet willing to tell others that they're planning to vote for Obama in fear of the retribution from within their party. Let's face it, staunch hardcore Repubs are downright vile and sometimes hateful when it comes to politics. They invented GOP "hate" radio and TV so it only goes without saying that anybody who speaks out against their beloved party will be excommunicated.

The "OBAMA EFFECT" ..... yeah, I like the sound of that.
