http://uselectionatlas.org/POLLS/PRESIDENT/2008/pollsa.php

This is a site I respect for nuts and bolts polling knowledge more than any other. The guys on this site's forums dissect polls. They use a good system for their map that I put a lot of weight behind in my opinion of how things are going. They use a rolling average from the last three majjor polls to make their map. This latest map shows Obama up more than ever, 338 to 158, with 42 in the toss up category.

1. Except the blue states are red and the red are blue.
It kind of screws me up. :-)

3. Yeah, it is kind of psychedelic like that. I think they left it that way for a reason.

4. He has a reason for doing that. Those were the colors set back in 1980.
I'm still not sure why or when they switched colors. Maybe it was as recently as 1996.

I can handle the red-blue switch. It's the pink vs baby blue states that boggle me up.
