Just listening to Stephanie Miller this morning when the idea was brought up, so I looked around the net a little.

I'm sure that there are more pictures out there of her wearing the pin, but this was all I could find.

and then there's this from the Alaska Independence Party. Note the POLAR BEAR.... bum bum bum!

1. Palin has a lot of nerve wearing a pin representing an animal she's driving to extinction.
It's wrong to hate but Palin tempts me.

3. Absolutely makes me crazy to see her wearing that pin. Why doesn't she drape the amputated
foreleg of a slain wolf over one shoulder, while she's at it?

She's a disgusting human being, if you ask me!

2. Or is it a big F-U to all of the environmentals
she's pissed off by taking them off of the endangered species list so that she "drill baby drill". Like.. the only polar bear she's ever given a shit about is the one on her lapel... all others can die as far as she's concerned.

Either way - it's ironic. and stupid.

I am sure we won't ever know the answer, but I thought it was curious. (edit to add) She did after all sue the government when they put the polar bear on the endangered species list, I do not think it was a FU.

Just something to think about that is all.
