Poll question: How OVER will it be after Wednesday Night?
If McCain looks bad in this debate, I give Obama a 90% chance to win.

2. After Wednseday, it'll sound somethin like this:
This game's in the refrigerator: the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the Jello's jigglin'!

3. Pretty over.
This is a sit-down-at-the-table debate, which means we'll see close-ups of McCain and Obama. The age contrast will be there lurking in the background. Plus, Obama and McCain will be sitting close enough to reach out and touch each other (think: Meet the Press), so watching their body language is going to be fun.. McCain's body language, eye contact, etc aren't doing him any favors.

Then, following the debate, we'll probably see Obama's team release their September fundraising numbers. If Obama wins the debate, this will fit in well with his "we're supported by the people" narrative.

And ever-lurking in the background is that 30 minute infomercial - pretty much the equivalent of Obama getting the last word. If he plays that event well, he should be able to ride the resulting polling bump into Election Day.

Worst case scenario at this point? Even if the game tightens, we still have Kerry/CO/IA/NM locked-down. :)

5. Look for
the GOP to start filing lawsuits the next morning in states that are close. It could get interesting unless it turns out to be a solid, indeniable victory.

8. It's Over Already
The margins and the momentum and the events around the globe put this race in the landslide/too big to steal/impossible to lose category.
