The Ugly Implications of McCain and Palin's Questions
By Cenk Uygur

Sarah Palin keeps asking people to ask more questions about Barack Obama. Now McCain has joined in on this refrain. But I don't get it. What more do they need to know? They keep saying he has to answer more questions about Bill Ayers, for example. But he has answered every ridiculous question on this topic a hundred times over. So, what are they really looking for?

It's not that McCain and Palin really think there is some deep and pertinent question that the media just has not gotten to yet about Obama's so-called relationship with Ayers. Otherwise, why don't they ask it themselves? Why doesn't John McCain take the next debate as an opportunity to ask Senator Obama about any profound question he has about Bill Ayers or any other disturbing connection Obama has?

The reason they don't do this is because there are no real questions there. This is a ploy to raise doubts in people's minds about Obama. They have nothing, but it's easy to say, "What else is Obama hiding?" The implication is that Barack Hussein Obama has more terrorist connections he is not telling us about. But since that is patently ridiculous and shameful, they can't say it out in the open. So, they hide behind the implications of questions like, "What else is he not telling us?"

What I want a reporter to ask Sarah Palin and John McCain is, "What is that you think Senator Obama is hiding? You keep asking the question, so you must think there is an answer. What is it? What is Senator Obama not telling us about Bill Ayers or anyone else?"

They don't have answer to that. Because they're real objective is to smear Obama as "the other"...

n/t means no text.

You might enjoy the DU Glossary in the Research forum. It has a lot of DUisms.

7. They are still recycling the same lies.
It is all they have left and they will keep doing it. The news media isn't helping, because they don't call them on the lies.

9. Time for the following Moveon ad?
"...Palin has said several times in her rallies that Barack Obama is not like the Americans she knows..."

How about an ad beginning with her statements above followed by "Sarah Palin is right, Barack Obama is not like the Americans she knows. Sarah Palin knows Americans who have stated - "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government," ~ Joe Vogler founder of the AIP. The AIP has also indicated they wish to infiltrate the Republican Party so that they can carry out their anti-American agenda.

........

You get the point. ;)

It may be over the top, but a response along those lines might be effective?

K and R. Thanks Tom

13. I would like to direct a few questions to McInsane and Falin'.
As would just about every other DUer. I'm growing more and more pissed with every passing day that the MSM will not pose these questions directly to McInsane and Falin' nor do some investigative journalism into their backgrounds.

I'm also pissed that the Obama campaign won't ask these questions. Yea, I know that he's ahead in the polls and that McInsane/Falin' doesn't stand a chance, but I still want these questions asked. Not many "Joe Sixpacks" know what we know here at DU about their questionable associations. Let's put that information out there for all the see.

After all, what does Joe and Jane Sixpack and all the little Sixpacks really know about John McCane and Sarah Palin?

16. The effect of this asinine strategy:
the world sees how profoundly fucking stupid many McCain/Palin supporters are. "Obama is a terrorist.", they chime in. Really? He has convinced a majority of voters to vote for him, even though there is ample evidence to suggest, let alone convince us, he's a terrorist? These people are either really, really, really fucking stupid, or so racist that they will say anything to prevent his election. Fucking imbeciles, plain and simple.

22. Here's another good question k*r

Q: Senator McCain, bear with me for a moment. This is extremely important. You and your running mate continue to hint broadly that Sen. Obama has some association with "domestic terrorists." You know that Obama was 8 years old when the acts by Bill Ayers took place. Further, you know that his association with Ayers has been very casual and limited. It has nothing to do with anything other than Ayers education foundation. Yet you frequently repeat the charge that he "pals around" with domestic terrorists.

Are you aware that this incites hate and that somewhere on the lunatic fringes of those hate filled people there's a miscreant who will try to kill the Senator.

Given all that, do you think that your and Governor Palin have a snowballs chance in Hell of getting a not guilty verdict when you're both charged with willfully encouraging the commission of a criminal act with full knowledge that the information spoken or written was false and could incite a criminal attack on the target of the deliberate lies?

Take your time.
