8. "Stop abuses of power..."
Is he talking to his running mate? Looks like he read the report on her abuses of power and the words stuck in his head.

3. Watching a McCain/Palin rally is like watching a train wreck.
Its like watching one of those airplane landings where one wheel is messed up and the networks show it just in case the plane blows up.

16. I think I know why they act this way....
A conservative person I work with (whom I know very well) believes that if Obama's elected, we will take everything he has, along with his ability to say anything about the government. Many in the crowd believe the same as he. They act that way because they are afraid.

Anybody have any ideas on what we could do/say that might relieve their fears?

Fuck em...they cheered on an illegal war.
Fuck em...they cheered on the outing of a CIA agent.
Fuck em...they cheered on Torture.
Fuck em...they cheered on the non response to Katrina.

I got nuttin to ease their fears.
Maybe those fears are justified.

9. No kidding! I heard it from the other room and I thought
"what the hell is going on?!" I literally jumped out of my chair and ran into the other room to see if McCain's angry mob rally had turned into a European soccer match with everyone rushing the stage. These people are frenzied.

I didn't hear any specific threats or boos, but the sound was not the same as the loud roar of cheers you hear at Obama's rallies, which is unmistakable cheering. I don't know what these nutjobs were yelling but it sounded scary.

27. McCain is reaping what he has sown
Back in 2000 he butted heads with the crazies in his party. This time he has sold his soul to the darkest impulses in the American psychic. The forces of evil that he has pampered to are now in full apocalyptic war mode, and McCain has found that he can't control them anymore than he can control that VP of his.

24. Dunno. I can't think any MSNBC coverage of it would be pro-McCain though.
I take cable news in small doses.

Right now, though, they're covering McCain's erratic tendencies--it's really quite good.

25. Early this morning Tucker Bounds was trying his best to spin the Troopergate report to be pro-Palin.
I was laughing at his attempt.

He wouldn't answer questions directly, instead saying how "this blatantly partisan document totally exonerated Palin of any illegal acts in firing Wooten."

30. Did he read the report?
Because the key parts have been quoted all over the news, and no one who has read those parts could say, with a straight face, that she was "totally exonerated."

How anyone can say the report was partisan is beyond me.
