TIME: Palin administration SHOCKINGLY AMATEURISH re:Troopergate
http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,184939...

But the Branchflower report still makes for good reading, if only because it convincingly answers a question nobody had even thought to ask: Is the Palin administration shockingly amateurish? Yes, it is. Disturbingly so.

The 263 pages of the report show a co-ordinated application of pressure on Monegan so transparent and ham-handed that it was almost certain to end in public embarrassment for the governor. The only surprise is that Troopergate is national news, not just a sorry piece of political gristle to be chewed on by Alaska politicos over steaks at Anchorage's Club Paris.

1. Where is Michael Wooten?
So, other than being suspended, is Michael Wooten still a trooper? I was wondering if Monegan was the only one who lost his job over this...anyone know?

6. From what I've read in the report, Wooten was disciplined over
the matter(s) in the original complaint against him but was not fired - as of late 2006. I'm not done reading.

Why don't you read the report yourself? It's not particularly challenging reading, but it is 85 or so pages.

3. So the Republicants want to go from incompetent, stupid and venal....
...to more incompetent, more stupid, more venal with a dash of amateur on the side.

Thank God we are going to take this election in a landslide and begin to bury the myth of Republicant professionalism.

4. Palin is amateur hour. "She's just like us!"
"We feel we know her. We could sit down and have snacks with her and laugh it up and have a great time!"
Moron alaskan evangelical women taped on CNN the other day.

"She's one of us! In lipstick! Yes, lipstick!"

They pray to jesus holding each other's hands in their pseudo designer jeans, fake nails, cheap costume jewelry, and bleached blond hair. It's all so Harper Valley PTA, I can't effin believe it.

All the while, they love dishonesty, starvation, murder, thievery, torture, napalm, religous bigotry..and everything else they support that's going on in Iraq.

Amazing how the news has completely forgotten that we're occupying a foreign country.

I'll bet if you ask any of these low-wattage baby breeders what's happening in Iraq today they'll tell you our troops are sitting around the barracks playing cards.
