So, I gave him $250 from my credit card. Yup. My credit card. ahahhahaha. TAKE THAT, DOOMSAYERS! I also own a house that has lost value, but I am still ahead on equity. So I'm good. I'm also looking for a new job. I quit mine so I could go to Europe for 3 weeks. Rational? In a strange way...yes. My wife and I had savings we used. Oh, by the way. She quit hers too. WE ROCK!! We are now looking for work, but I think it will actually go pretty well.

Anyway, does anyone know how much Obama pulled in September? I am so curious. Also, what is his balance on hand at end of September?

I also pulled a phone list and will be calling my neighbors in Portland to urge them to vote when their ballot comes in the mail.

It is not possible for some individuals to donate hundreds. But it only takes 10 minutes or less to kick another $10 or $20 or $30. Just skip a night out for drinks. Just skip a movie weekend. Whatever it takes.

You've got me thinking I'd better add to our $300 this month and early, too. I'm so worried about the rabble Sarah Palin is rousing, I don't know what else to do. Utah is a red state, but I don't think we're overrun with some of the people Palin seems to be "firing up" wherever she goes in the south east.

they have figured out how to get past the big money lobbyists. We, as political consumers, can have a direct say in how viable candidates are. Witness Ron Paul. I admit the guy's a kook. But that's just the point. He was still able to rake in TONS of money.

We could well see more Democracy if we can also take down big media networks and cable outlets. Let us get our own opinions. Forget the spin meisters.

The only HUGE thing left to do is figure out how to get this and the next generations some better education, thinking skills, and critical thinking. Then they won't fall prey to demagogues so easily.

17. I must have got the same e-mail, and had the same response!

I got an e-mail today, which reminded me that I was going to donate in honor of a friend's birthday. So, I sent $25 today, and will send another $25 on the weekend to honor another friend's birthday.

I am the traditional "poor college student," and $50 will get me a week of food, 8-10 good used books, 4 CD's, or 1/4 of a text book. But, I'm sending money because I think Obama's campaign can use it wisely. Anyways, I am investing in the future. If we get Obama as president, I will be able to have more money to throw around than if John Sidney McCain III somehow wins.
