Last night's debate gave me this impression - As John McCain sort of explained his buy up bad mortgages to refinance to homeowners - he came across as....well....disconnected with the middle class, and came across as trying to "Roll out" another product. Americans don't need another product. They are up to their eyeballs in products and debt from products.
And when Obama spoke, he connected with the middle class and explained what he would do. There was no sales pitch. He explained what he would do and why. He put it into a perspective that allowed one to hope for better times. As he sat there, listening to McCain speak, I never ever saw any disdain on his facial expressions. It looked to me that he listened to McCain attentively, with encouraging eyes and a soft smile. My perspective was that he even encourages his opponents to do their best. Think about that. I have.
Seemed to this Canuck - that last night - one was a salesman....and that other one....was a leader.
