This is how weaselly the GOP are. They actually think the "that one" comment is a plus.

A Republican official emails, on background:

The most memorable line of the night belonged to John McCain. McCain pointed out that “That One” vote for the 05 energy bill. Look for Republicans to note in coming days that “That One” also voted for higher taxes at least 94 times; “That One” has associations with unrepentant terrorists, etc…

1. It's all they have.
All they can do at this point is try to run against Barack Obama, "The Other."

It's pathetic and will serve as a sad epitaph to John McCain's career. Live by the smear, die by the smear, my friends.

3. Good Lord. I thought it was just a stupid little offhand comment, but
now it looks like an ugly strategy of sorts. Never underestimate these jackasses, I guess.

4. It's spin...designed to...
...put lipstick on a piece of crap.

The GOP can play games and act like school-yard bullies all they want. It's the Independents
who will decide this election, and let's just say--they weren't at all impressed with McCain's
"that one" comment. The comment was fodder for people guffawing at McCain and how
old and bitter he looked.

McCain looked like an elderly flibbertigibbet--calling out his unruly grandchild. LOL!

If these ass clowns want to sit in their spin rooms and write ridiculous, bizarre tripe--let them.

It's more fun when we get to watch them screwing themselves over!

These people have absolutely no sense of the world that exists beyond the end of their
own noses.

9. Perfect. Do the job for us. Take the one phrase that people took offense to
and repeat, repeat, repeat.

Republican stupidity is proving to be the gift that keeps on giving this election year.
