Williams just mentioned that the responses from their commenters online are mostly talking about McCain calling his senate colleage "that one" and McCain condescendingly telling one of his audience questionners "you probably never heard of freddie mac or fannie mae before this crisis." HAH!!!! Go commenters, and good for Brian Williams for mentioning it on air!

I was shocked, but thought McCain was gonna save it by continuing, "And who refused to vote for the oil companies? THIS ONE!" (pointing at himself). But he didn't. He went on, "Who voted against it? I did!"

So the end result was sounding repulsively disrespectful and dismissive to a senate colleague. As if he couldn't be bothered to refer to Obama correctly -- the nameless one! Like he's Voldemort.
