Palin's inadequacies make Obama's case...

But Palin’s stumbles in televised interviews and her evasive answers on many policy questions in her debate last Thursday with her Democratic counterpart, Delaware Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. , have demonstrated just how difficult it is to be engaging, thoughtful and substantive under the sustained heat of the national spotlight.

Ironically, she is proving just how tough of an act Obama is to follow.

Simply by arguing that she is ready to be president and inviting a comparison to Obama, Republicans have suggested to many Democrats and independents that Obama is more than ready. In nearly two years on the campaign trail, the Democratic nominee has never once looked as lost as Palin did repeatedly in the weeks between her convention speech and last week’s vice presidential debate.

1. yep, "shot himself in the foot" is understating it
mr. "I crashed five airplanes" just flat-out stepped on his dick with this selection.

any attempts to prop her up as not the most far-fetched ludicrous choice for president make Obama look like a god.

any attempts to rationalize her so-called foreign policy experience just take the issue off the table.

and her so-called "energy expertise?" give me a break. She imposed a windfall profits tax. She has had dealings with big oil. Big whoop. Does she comprehend such concepts as "the US has 3% of the reserves and uses 25% of the oil?" How long would she last in a discussion of the issues surrounding cellulosic ethanol production? What has she done to investigate capturing tidal energy in some of Alaska's fjords? Give her a pompom and let her chant "drill baby drill" until someone with a hook drags her off the stage.

Her one and only purported strong suit is bs. And the more they promote it, the better our guys look. Biden is a walking encyclopedia to begin with; she served as the perfect foil to highlight that.

I marvel at the guy myself and there is no way I would ever consider him normal. He is simply one of the most impressive people I have had the privilege to observe.
