2. I've always thought that had a lot to do with McCrazy's motives
Especially when he's always saying "I know how to win wars" even though he's never won one. Many of us have compared Iraq to Vietnam rhetorically, on a number of levels, but it may be that Gramps is connecting the two wars in his mind, or what little he has left of one.

7. The only thing that McCain knows how to do is
crash planes.

6. It's also about thwarting opposition to future wars.
If we're perceived as having "lost" in Iraq how will he get support to attack Iran? In fact, I think it has more to do with that. He wants to set the stage to be able to remain a war time president because he knows he can't do anything else productive. Not that I think war is productive, but he does, and war time presidents get a pass, although that might be over for a while.

8.  I've always thopught when McCain says he knows how to win a
war, he is talking about Vietnam. After he returned home, McCain spent a significant amount of time studying the history of that war. Trudeau has it right, his goal is to refight our biggest Asian debacle in the sands of the middle east.My bet is the open hostility to Iran speaks to his belief that we should have obliterated North Vietnam to secure "victory". This is a very dangerous man who heads a very dangerous ticket.
