It's not being complacent. It's being confident and going for a blow-out of epic proportions

People identify with a winner.

And there is also the notion of "confident expectancy". Which is not to be confused with wishful thinking.

I applaud those who like to remind DU'ers to not get complacent.

But there is some value to momentarily enjoying what seems to be an upswing in support for Obama.

Perhaps the middle ground is to say we aren't being complacent but are going to fight for an epic blow-out?

But it is, for right now, good to see Obama doing pretty well. Hopefully, he'll pull further ahead even in the face of the mud flinging sure to come.

1. We need to work harder in the face of the shit storm we will face as we throw the FAUX conservativ
out of our government. Remember we have to win too big to steal.
That means every state with BBV can not be trusted.

2. I likewise think that might happen.
I keep on posting the Kansas Caucus numbers:

In 2004, a total of 1300 Democrats statewide attended the caucuses. At my location, there was only one participant under age 40.

In 2008, a total or 130,000(!) Democrats statewide attended, standing outside in snow, sleet, and freezing rain for up to three hours to get inside the polling place. And at my location, about 20% were under 25.

Four days later, on a mild and pleasant Saturday, a total of 20,000 Republicans attended their caucus.

This was Kansas, folks! Red state, Republican Kansas! And I don't think that very many of the 130,000 were Republicans who crossed party lines (all they had to do, if they were already registered R's, was re-register on-site as D's) to foul up the voting in some way. And for what it's worth, Kansas went something like 3-1 for Obama.

I really think that this year a lot of young people and never-before voted are going to show up.
