Don't listen to RWers that say Obama has it in the bag.
The want us to get complaisant, they want us to relax. Now is the time to redouble our efforts, to press hard, to never falter.
We can win this and the people on the right would never give up this early. We must get all the votes we can.

3. I think he's close to having it in the bag...
...but it isn't enough.

We need a landslide, so that we can (unlike the Republicans) legitimately claim to have a mandate. And we need a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate -- and that means 61 senators, so we can give Holy Joe the boot.

Remember the Republican meme after '92 (and '96, for that matter): even though Clinton won handily both times, the Republicans spun it as "he never got a majority," and "he would have lost if it hadn't been for Perot taking votes from our side" (a claim which has repeatedly been proven false, by the way). Let's not give them cover this time, but make sure this really is a repudiation of the Reagan Republicanism with which this nation has been saddled for nearly thirty years.

:bounce:

4. Think of it this way
We're going to keep working as hard as we can so we will not just win, but crush the party that has ruined this country for the last eight (and more) years.
