The AP goes into the tank for Palin...
Not surprising, considering Ron Fournier, but --

The headline to their official news article: Palin stands her ground in VP debate with Biden.

And, then, their official "analysis" (by Liz Sidoti): Analysis: A confident Palin connects.

Remember, these are the headlines that millions of people will see tomorrow morning. It's like having Fox take over most of the newspapers in the country.

:grr:

1. uh, she did come off as confident. it did serve her well.
and yeah, she probably did connect with a lot of people. she exceeded expectations. she came off as comfortable with the venue and herself. yeah, she was essentially non-responsive to questions, but that's not really at the heart of performing well in a debate. in any case, Biden was better and this debate was not a game changer.

"Normally, I wouldn't waste my time or yours with Sidoti's nonsense, but there's an amusing story to tell involving her that's just too good not to share. It goes back to April 14, when both John McCain and Barack Obama appeared at an event for newspaper editors hosted by the AP.

At the event, the head of AP addressed Barack as "Osama" while John McCain was given a box of Dunkin' Donuts -- with sprinkles. And coffee, with a little cream and a little sugar. By none other than Liz Sidoti. "

3. Confident sure but the connection was purely
about the base and the base just wanted her to not drool and/or look defeated.

4. The AP fools them into being confident but the water cooler talk all day brings them down.
Bad plan for support... a great way to give repubes a big downer day.
