My wife and I agreed - Palin defines the mediocrity and vacuousness that
the past 8 years has made fashionable amongst so many. She is an utter travesty!

1. I just want to live to see the day where it's cool to be smart again.
When I was a kid, the smart kids got teased a little bit if they were nerdy, but everyone, jocks, dopers, misfits, all admired them. And when one of them would win some kind of award, like at a science fair, or debate, everyone would congratulate them.

What happened? There is now disdain for smart & articulate. People are proud of their ignorance.
