34. You forgot to add that she is a liar. I heard her say that she is
an advocate of womens rights. Sure. Given 5 seconds, she'd blow Roe v Wade out the window. I am a woman and a grandmother. It is my decision to have done or to do anything with my rights, anything I want. Although this issue could no longer involve me physically, I would be very concerned for every other woman in the country.

No-one seems to be picking up on that point very much. I almost jumped out of my chair.

15. I'm a Mom from middle America
...which, btw, is nowhere near Alaska, and I am not the superficial, intellectually incurious, self-righteous harpy that she is. I know that the quote about the shining city on a hill comes from a Puritan minister's sermon from the 1600s not Ronald Fucking Reagan, you damn wannabe.

God I hate this woman.

37. Coming from Minnesota, I have said "you bet" many times in my life.
I also end sentences with the word "then" and I say "uff da" with a certain amount of frequency.

However, I am intelligent enough and professional enough to know how to moderate my speech and use language appropriate to the given situation.

41. As a fellow Minnesotan, amen.
The thing that really bugs me about Palin is that her accent is so fake. I think that she is another one of those people who watched Fargo too many times and thinks people in the heartland really talk like that. She and the pundits think it's endearing and that's how to relate to us. I think it's insulting and condescending, and makes her look like a dumbass.

She gets more like Bush everyday. Her folksy accent is about as authentic as his Texas drawl.

She repulses me. Her body motions, her expression, her speech. Her non-intellect. Get that voice out of my head==be gone with you, Ms Palin, Go hone to your family and start to read some good books, starting with grammar and sentence structure. By the time you are a little older, you night tackle a novel or two. Take a course in public speaking, not public babble. See an ophthalmologist or neurologist about that wink-twitch, or is it just a flirt with the male population of America. I can assure you, you lost a lot of the women last night with your pseudo-cuteness.
Grrrrrrrrr..............

Instead, she sounded low class and crass. My mom spotted it right away, when she said, "I don't want my leaders talking like that. She sounds like she comes off of a street corner."

Lol. Fancy that.

I agree I have been a homemaker and mom for 23 years, I have 2 college degrees and I am disgusted with how Sarah Palin is portraying the "mom" image...I don't say heck, I don't wink like a beauty queen contestant...I am politically active and intelligent..I am a feminist AND a homemaker by choice...and I am dismayed at the stereotype that she has portrayed. I am utterly insulted...

33. She poured it on *heavy*
there was a moment when it slipped away though and she said "track" the correct way, without emphasizing the 'a' (as she did previously in the debate). That's when I knew for sure that she was pouring it on for whatever reason. What a bimbo. The republicans think the American people are just going to like her and vote for her because she's so god-darn cute (wink wink). Please, with things the way they are, give us some credit.

38. Sarah "Logorrhea" Palin
I am a city mom and a proud book and newspaper/magazine reader. I do not hunt. I have no guns or rifles in my home. I believe that preserving lives means stopping the wars and providing healthcare for all. I graduated from ONE college.

You do not speak for me. I pity your children and your constituents. You are limited, shrill, uneducated, and a puppet in the hands of scary people who want to take away our rights and send our sons to wars they happily start to feed the arms complex.

You do not speak for me. You do not represent me. I want nothing to do with you. So just pick up your shrill, verbal diarrhea self and GO AWAY!

40. She and I are not alike.
I'm a very traditional cookie-baking mother. Stay at home, volunteer in the school clinic, classroom . . . all that and more. I really wish I could like her. I sometimes think I like what she pretends to be.

I, too, have a disabled child. She and her husband should be focusing on what they can do for that baby to help him overcome all his obstacles. They seem to view the boy's challenges as nothing - no big deal!

I see myself as typical mom, a lover of lipstick and makeup, a girly-girl . . . and nothing like that. . . whatever she is.
