This debate is going to be an exercise in it. Biden basically isn't allowed to speak, if you believe the portrayal from the media and McCain's campaign that he can't be too hard on her. Their idea of "too hard on her" is treating her the same way every candidate should be treated. You debate the issues, and whoever is better is the winner. You don't have one side lobbing cheap shots while the other side has to sit there and take it because the person lobbing said cheap shots is a woman.

The behavior by the media and campaign operatives to imply that treating her differently because she is a woman is sexist, period.

It may benefit her personally, and hamper Joe Biden, but it hurts all women.

but in the context of politics, the dirtiest game in the world, the fact that one side is getting to play so dirty while the other is essentially threatened with having their campaign derailed by the media if they treat her like an actual politician (which she is for fuck's sake) is pretty despicable. Bothers the hell out of me because we all know how good Biden is in discussing the issues. Yet he is basically going to be on the shortest leash ever. It sucks.
