2. Have you seen that asinine Cornyn commercial?
Where he looks out over the Palo Duro Canyon?

Is he claiming credit for millions of years of geological activity? "My name is John Cornyn and I approved this canyon?

Pissed me off.

He's a giant ass.

And Rick Noriega is an amazing man, who will be a historic Senator.

7. It would take something to win. Barring some unlikely (but possible) event, he'll finish closer than
we've done in some time.

Noriega is close enough that a huge national landslide would sweep him in. Otherwise, I expect him to get about 45-46% to Cornyn's 48-49% with Barr possibly driving Cornyn further down (the Texas Repub convention was a disaster because Paul's huge base of support was mistreated, and those typically-Repub-leaning folks will not vote Repub this cycle).

An upset is probably about a 1-in-10 chance, but those odds go up with Obama's increasing popularity (in Texas, McCain has a single digit lead and Barr will steal votes from McCain that some two-way-head-to-head polls would miss).

8. Understood...who knows he might get lucky.
Kerry just injected into the DSCC 1 million dollars, maybe some funds might go towards Noriega.

9. it's a ground game in Texas now
If the activists work this election, it's possible.

And, it will be up to us - because the national campaign hasn't really been active here.

I agree we have a chance, and I'm hoping others are also working hard to get Noriega in the Senate.

What a difference one more vote would mean.
