Why When The Polls Show Obama Leading Or Going Ahead And In Some Cases.....
by substantial numbers - these cable pundits don't believe it or don't think it's as big as the polls say? They won't give an inch to Obama - no matter how good he's done, or how hard he's worked.

On the other hand - they give McCain every benefit of the doubt - in all the polls. They say that he's within the margin of error or they only talk about those polls that show him ahead or tied.

2. A few reasons
1) They want a horse race. It's good for ratings.
2) In the primaries, late deciders tended to break against Obama. So they might think that McCain has a bigger cushion on Election Day, and that the undecideds will break for him. And I think that could be true, sadly. I believe some people are saying they are undecided because they don't want to admit they are not voting for Obama because he's black. This is particularly true if the interviewer is African American (there have been studies that have shown that there is a race-of-interviewer effect for black candidates).
