McCain will either not vote or vote yes.
But he isn't going to vote no on this.

Not after he essentially endorsed the idea a week ago.

1. I dunno, McCain IS bat-shit insane after all.
He goes for the wild swing when he doesn't know what else to do. Certainly it makes no sense, but not much of what McCain's done so far has.

4. Because even he isn't stupid enough to hand the election to Obama with this vote.
It isn't like 90% of America opposes the bailout. The safe vote is to vote yes, then hammer Obama on being the reason the bailout was needed.

McCain won't vote no.

12. Using logic I agree, but
I am not convinced that he is capable of being logical. I am sure Newt is bending his ear.

8. He also CAN'T "not vote"! Being non-commital shows lack of
determination and decision making!

9. If for no other reason
Than as a face saving move after taking credit for its passage earlier in the week, McCain is going to back and vote for this bill. He will also take credit when the House Republicans back this version of the bill. What Democrats need to be doing is showing this as an example of McCain pushing for a partisan (Republican) version of the bill and emphasizing his inability to bring the House Republicans along on a more bipartisan version.

10. He might pull a stunt, just to please his base--Freepers, Malkin, Limbaugh et al
are unhappy.

11. He would almost have to vote yes - but who the hell knows with
him. If they vote by role, he goes before Obama. If he does not vote or votes no, I am sure he will try to spin it for himself, depending on how this thing goes. McSame first - country last.

13. I'm Not So Sure
Why else would the RNC have that anti-bailout attack ad in the can?

I think they are trying to set Obama up....however, I think it has back fired on them.

14. He's so erratic, I can't even begin to figure him out.
I am still using sanity as a benchmark, but I'm learning that this is probably a bad idea.

16. There is no gauge for this man's decision making ability and tendency.
I believe he is going to vote, "No," and try to find a way to twist this around on Obama.

He is going to throw another hail mary and put whatever he has left, "all-in" on this vote and go back to his mavericky behavior. He pretty much lost that entire definition over the past weeks, and this is his chance to bring it back.

I don't see it working out for him, especially considering that he "suspended" his campaign and trotted into DC on his white horse with the plan to unite Washington and bring this bill to pass, but I definitely see the potential that he will say F-it and go against it.

He's not a maverick, he's an idiot, and he has no clue what he's doing anymore. He might not even know what he's going to vote until his name is called. "Ye- NO."

18. God, I pray that he chooses to not vote.
Just for the hilarity of the Right Wingnuts having railed on Obama's "present" votes for so long. I expect he'll vote "yes", though; he really has no choice.
