What is the best way for Joe Biden to answer the followind debate question:
It wouldn't come as a shock (although I'm not predicting it will happen) for the following question directed towards Joe Biden during the debate: "Sen. Biden, do you think Gov. Palin is qualified to be vice president?"

While the ultimate answer to the question is obvious, the more difficult issue is how Biden frames his response so that he doesn't come across as arrogant or "beeating up the girl".

Anyone have thoughts (serious ones) as to how Biden might best respond?

1. She meets the qualifications, so he should say "She meets the qualifications."
He can then move on to issues that really matter.

18. Not just the debate ... continue with ...
It is every candidate's responsibility to open themselves to tough questions from the press as often as possible ... so as to give the American people as much opportunity to determine the answer to that question for themselves.

15. That was Obama's answer when asked about Palin.
Although he did flash just the beginnings of a smile when asked about "I can see Russia." He must have tremendous control to not burst out laughing.

3. "no"
didn't he answer a primary debate question with a simple "yes" - something about being able to avoid wordy answers - or something like that.

5. He could say that'll be up to the voters
When you think about it, that's the only qualification there is. Then let the voters flatter themselves about their good judgment in realizing Phailin is in way past her depth.

that doesn't mean we will all be successful in the position. And here is why I'll be successful in this position..." Leave the rest open to interpretation.

Now, let's talk about what she'd do as Vice President, versus what I'd do. Her vision of America at home and abroad, and her plan for getting there, versus my vision and my plan for getting there."

14. Here's How I Answer The Question
"I have a lot of respect for Gov Palin. I think it's fantastic to know that there will be either a woman or a black man in the White House shortly. But to answer your question, qualification for office has nothing to do in my opinion with how long you've been a politician for. It has to do with how sound your judgment is. And Senator Obama has much more experience being right, whether it's on the issue of invading Iraq or tax cuts for those who don't need them, than McCain and Palin have combined."

it's the thought of her becoming PRESIDENT that concerns me.

God forbid, but if Obama were to develop Alzheimers or skin cancer, for example, I'm ready for the Presidency.

And here's why...
