Jamie Ruben did what was needed on CNN
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 01:30 PM by Armstead
Kerry spokesman Jamie Rubin was on with that bullethead dolt (Secord?) who was Bremer's assistant in Iraq on CNN a little while ago.

Bullethead was spouting off the usual nonsense and threw out the word "sensitive" war. Rubin jumped right on that, and told bullethead that on a particular date he stood next to a general in Iraq who used the same word. Rubin pressed him to deny that, and wouldn't let Bullethead off the hook.

Rubin kept pounding and pounding. Everytime Bulletthead threw out one of the talking points, Rubin stopped him and told him to prove what he had just said. Bulletthead got increasingly flustered.

That mix of facts and refusal to the the GOP bullyboys use their memes and lies was very effective. We need more of that kind of direct frontal assault.

MOST IMPORTANT Rubin did not let a single GOP buzzword or lying cliche about Kerry slip by unchallenged.

4. I wish...
Senator Kerry would get out in front of the camera to talk with the media. The only thing he has been doing is campaigning, (which is great), however, I think he needs to get some more face time on the national news, and cable news programs...la

8. JK & JE join their families tonight for a midnight rally in OH. Hot damn!
John Kerry and John Edwards join their families tonight for a midnight rally in Springfield, Ohio. Starting just minutes after the close of the Republican convention, the rally focuses on the Kerry-Edwards plan: “A Stronger America Begins at Home.” While the Republicans in New York chose to conceal the failed Bush record, Kerry and Edwards have a real plan to create jobs, cut taxes for middle-class families, lower health care costs, move America toward energy independence, and make our country safer and respected in the world.

9. I agree. I think he should have a press conference
and confront every damn false charge the repugs have made. Methodically and deliberately lay out each issue and say this is what they say; this is what I did and said and here are the places to verify everything I've said and done. He needs to do that NOW! And then again and again each time he is attacked.
