I'd like to see Obama turn to McCain and just ask, "John, why did we go into Iraq?"

he would mention all the Iraqi dead among the cost of this horrible war. Last night he named all kinds of pains this war has caused, but the dead Iraqi people didn't make the list.

I guess that's another part of "appealing to the center".

2. I wish he would've mentioned that al-Maliki wanted a NON-conditions-based timeline.

That would've knocked down McCain's claim that "Obama's" withdrawal plan was irresponsible.

In other words, since you want to stay until it's over, when is it over? (I can't remember who wrote that but I think it's a valid question for McCain to be required to answer.)
