| Anyone got a clip of the CNN instant tracker giong down when McCain mentioned his VP? |
|
someone here last night said it went way down. I remember him saying it but I was either not watching CNN at the time or didn't notice.
I did watch some of it again today. By the end of the debate, every time it goes to McCain, almost before he opens his mouth the "independents" line goes way down. When Obama starts talking it goes up.

I was at a debate watching party with 190 other people at a local sports bar...as soon as he started his comments about POW, etc..the entire crowd went ballistic/angry..seconds into our noisemaking we saw the lines at the bottom of the screen go all but vertical. We went from yelling at the screen to a collective loud gasp/laugh!

| 3. I mentioned it. All 3 lines went sharply down the second he referenced the Alaskan Anchor, without |
|
using her name, at 9:38 pm. Even the repug red line dropped sharply instantly. McCain had a tough enough time winning in November, and she is becoming a major drag on his campaign. She's the running mate that shall not be named.

| 5. That's great for me! I've got a $50 bet at work |
|
that her pick will prove to be a big mistake for McCain. I made it the day she was announced, after only about 2 hours of Googling her and reading DU.

I've set TiVO (I think) to record the rerun tonight. That way I can skip the parts I really don't want to see again.

I loved those lines. Most of the time, they were very steady ... but Obama's were steadily higher than McCain's. It was fun to watch them dip every time McCain opened his mouth, traveling near the bottom of the screen, then climbing a bit each time Obama would talk. Like I said, no huge spikes in either direction most of the time, but it seemed to always have Obama just a little higher than McCain.

| 8. yeah, I've TiVoed it but... |
|
I'm not sure when it will be on in my time zone and the TiVo listings still show the 'regularly scheduled' programs.
