His contempt for Barack Obama is blatantly clear to one and all to his peril. I love the story how McCain invited Obama to work with him on a Bill (sorry, I'm paraphrasing and don't remember which one it was). Anyway, when the Bill was completed and Barack reviewed it, he didn't like the additions/subtractions in it and backed away from it. Barack then wrote his own Bill on the same matter and it passed. It's said that McCain was really furious, this "kid" came along out of nowhere and one-upped him! McCain thought he'd be running against Hillary, how dare this young guy come along and take what should be his. He has no respect for Barack and I honestly don't think it's completely racist. The fact that Barack is young, new to Washington, "hasn't paid his dues" in McCain parlance, just grinds away at him. I love Barack more and more each day, this is just icing on the cake.

3. Ouch. I think you're right; he sure hasn't tried to dispel any inkling of
this kind of thinking. We need change, and a new outlook.

5. Well if I didn't before, it certainly came through last night.
His attitude was so bad, a rethug co-worker who was a strong supporter until the middle of the debate decided she wouldn't vote for him because he was a "snake". She decided before the debate was over, she couldn't stand him. McCain lived up to my expectations last night by presenting himself as a nasty, sarcastic, smarmy, bush-smirking, warmonger who thinks he is god's gift to the presidency. He is Bush with a tumor and I think he made a lot of the undecideds sick to their stomach.

6. This is something that has been bothering me a lot.
I received a picture from someone showing Obama polishing Palin's shoes. The person that sent it is an a$$hole Republican. I have taken care of the matter by telling him I was amazed he was such a racist and where does he keep his hood. I also told him I was amazed that some white men are so intimidated by an educated black man. I wonder why that is? Are they afraid the black race will rise up and treat them as they treated the black race for so long? This picture actually made me want to cry, but I didn't I got angry instead! He won't be able to argue with me because I have blocked his e-mail. I do love to get the last word!

8. I believe it is racism, pure and simple.
McCain can't stand the thought that Obama is coming so close to the Presidency.

12. Absolutely. And whether his behavior is racist at its core doesn't
really matter. The image of the calm Barack Obama on one side, with the sneering McCain on the other, was stark enough to raise that spector and many others. It did not make McCain look good.
