Time: "Grading the First Presidential Debate"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/gradingthefirstpresidentialdebate

Bottom line on Obama: "Two more performances like that and he will be very tough to beat on Election Day." Overall grade: A-

Bottom line on McCain: "McCain was McCain - evocative, intense, and at times emotional, but also vague, elliptical, and atonal." Overall grade: B- (much too generous, imho!).

1. Very interesting.
I'd have graded more like Obama B+
McCain B-

But I think that has more to do with my expectations.

My husband pointed out that Obama went with his strength of addressing the camera (speaking) and McCain when with his of addressing the questioner, like he would in a town hall.

My bottom line - anything less than a clear win my McCain was a clear loss.

A clear loss (which may have happened) is nothing less than devastating.
