9. She's supposed to be intelligent
I heard that and had to refrain from screaming at the TV since I'm at work. Don't insult me, I don't babble on endlessly about nothing.

If I wanted someone that was "average" to be in the WhiteHouse ....oh wait.

11. That should not be considered a recommendation.
I do not want an average person to be the Vice President. I want a very, very smart person. I don't understand why being a "regular person" is considered a positive criterion for being elected to high office. Is it some kind of weird narcissism that makes people want to elect some ordinary schmuck like themselves?

16. She talks like an inexperienced politician in over her head.
Reagan said lots of dumb stuff but at least he said it well. Palin is seriously one of the dumbest politicians I have ever seen.

But I digress, why on earth do we want an average person in charge of the country?

21. The average person could not have led the Reds to victory in the Russian Revolution.
It took Trotsky (who along with Einstein and Chomsky shares the honour of being the most intelligent public figure of modernity) to lead the Red Army from the brink of the abyss to victory over the 21 nation army and the Tsarists that the revolutionaries had been fighting against. Some tasks are above the reach of the average, and leading the world's most powerful nation is certainly among them.
