Obama will be engaging and concise; he will demonstrate a superb grasp of the issues and a quiet sense of humor. The Mississippians will already have been enraptured by him because he will have helped them build three Habitat houses in hurricane-ravaged Waveland that afternoon.

At the evening's conclusion, the crowd will roar its lusty approval. Saturday morning will find the polls at a 70-30 split. And at whatever minute Lehrer decides to start the evening (will he give 5 minutes like you do for a college professor?), that minute will be the one at which McCain concedes the election.
