When Bush I was running for reelection in 92 and they had the infamous
Pat Buchanan marrow chilling "culture war" speech ("better in the original German" - Molly Ivins) at the Houston RNC, what was the tone of the Dem Convention and Big Dog campaign?

For all those who are like, "we've got to hit harder like the Repubs!" I'm not so sure about that. Harder, yes. Sick off putting negativity? No.

2. I believe it was an upbeat, "Courage to Change"
I was in Barcelona for the Olympics and only caught some of the convention on shortwave radio. But I remember that "Courage to Change" theme and the immediate bus tour with Clinton and Gore that followed the convention.

4. Bush/Cheney ASSes of evil
Clintons advisors and other democrats were masterful at dealing with negative attacks in 92. The day the Rpugs launched an attack it was pretty much over and dealt with by that night, well most were anyway.

Something isn't right with the Kerry attack responders, I mean it isn't like they don't know what's coming.
