Ten days ago a nurses pod enthralled and defending Palin . Today - Not so much!
The clinic nurses pod breakdown.

6 nurses (LPNs and RNs) work together in a pod at my wife's Internal Medicine office.
2 firm Obama voters (for Hilary before now for Obama), 1 fundamental christian "abortion voting" McCain supporter, 1 legitimately undecided, and 2 apolitical talking heads - all female.

Immediately after the the RNC convention and for a few days afterward, my wife came home seething and printing off material to combat the hysteria about Palin - even the 2 apolitical and Obama supporters were fired up and loved the "hockey mom" & "normal person" story.

She did her best to shed light on the farce and political ploy of the Palin pick.

Yesterday was another story. "The times they are a changin". Only the one "fundamental" wedge voter still supports McCain. My wife almost has the two apolitical, first-time voting twenty-somethings registering to vote Obama, the undecided has started to join in on the daily WTF discussion about McCain, and the 2 Obama supports are helping work on them!

My wife's "daily enlightenment" lesson helped a little, but for the most part it was the economy, the idiotic secrecy of their campaign, and i think they're becoming basically more educated about government and issues.

I think by Nov it will be 6 to 1 in favor of Obama in that pod - and a lunch walk to the polls on Nov 4 to make sure they vote.

3. It's wonderful when people WAKE UP to the truth.
This must be very humiliating for those who initially were excited by Palin. At least, I HOPE so! Thanks for sharing this anecdote.

4. That's great news...
Nurses are union voters...If Obama can't hold his own against unionised White* women, we're in trouble.

* = We can assume that he's not doing well among non-unionised White women and that other women are in the bag for Obama regardless of union affiliation.
